BMI contributed three Biomodels to UCLA to assist the surgical planning and rehearsal for the separation of conjoined twins Maria Teresa and Maria de Jesus Quiej Alvarez. This video goes behind the scenes and discusses the contributions that BMI's Biomodels made on this case.

BMI worked with the University of Illinois, College of Medicine at Peoria to develop a medical simulator for training surgical residents to correct a congenital spinal cord defect (Spina Bifida). The following is a video of highlights from the simulated surgery on the first model prototype.
